Hello beautiful people!
Today I want to tell you a little about what Ayurveda is.
It is an ancient healing and preventive practice, an oriental medicine that primarily uses nutrition, based on the philosophy of yoga.It arises from an analysis of natural elements and the different qualities we have within our bodies.
Each body has distinct characteristics and combinations of these elements (air, fire, earth, water, and ether).These combinations are grouped into different Doshas, which are the "humors" or the mental and bodily energy present in our bodies.
Each Dosha, having different elements, will require certain foods more than others and certain practices more than others. Each body has a predominant Dosha, and if it is unbalanced, it can lead to behaviors or diseases in our bodies, or it can be in harmony.
The Doshas are "assigned" at the time of conception, and they determine what type of body we will have, therefore what foods or practices we will need in our life. Knowing this, we can see what our soul needs to nourish itself at the physical and energetic level. (Because food is also energy)
Ayurveda makes us aware of our eating and daily practices, personalized for each type of body and energy, to heal and cure our physical body, alongside our mental health.I hope you find this interesting!
